Death Manager

Current Version: 2.1.1

$10.00

Stand-Alone

Manage death, reviving, respawning

This takes over the player spawning events. If you die, it will give you options to REVIVE, RESPAWN, or REVIVE ON GROUND. Basically revive means you are brought back to life and you get up as if you were only hurt and not dead. RESPAWN sends you to a hospital (revived). REVEIVE ON GROUND revives you just like the regular REVIVE option, but you stay ragdolled on the ground so you can continue to RP on the ground as hurt or whatever. Pressing the ragdoll toggle key (U by default) will allow you to get up when you are ready.

Also has visual effects for when dead or almost dead.

Includes configurable options to whether to allow immediate respawning/reviving or to have a wait timer and you can turn on and off the ragdoll functionality (don't know why you would want to because it's great).

Will be integrated with the upcoming EMS and LEO scripts from Big Daddy Scripts

COMPLETELY NEW DAMAGE ENGINE. Now your ped can be damaged in localized areas and body parts. Shot in the leg your ped will limp. If your arm is damaged enough you will not be able to hold and shoot a weapon. You will continue to bleed if cut. Punched in the head and you can be concussed and even knocked out. This damage engine will be tied directly into the upcoming Big Daddy EMS script where EMS can work on and treat injuries sustained. This is a beta feature so it will be tweaked as time goes on.

Known Issues:

  • Anything that tries to control the spawn manager or death in the game will not work with this.
  • There have been a couple of instances of reviving as invisible and that is related to vmenu settings of spawning in as a default character. Turn that off and back on and it seems to correct it. ???
  • There is a setting in vmenu to spawn as a default character when you spawn in or respawn after death. If you set this a certain way it causes your respawned character to be thrown around like in a whirlwind. There is a way to use it where it works fine, but I don't use it so I don't know the exact setup to make it work.

  • Added option to be hospitalized at the furthest or nearest hospital
  • Added option to be hospitalized at a random hospital

8/5/2024 - v2.0.0 (includes a settings.ini update)

  • Completely rebuilt damage engine. See product description.
  • Many tweaks and improvements - that's our copout answer saying too many to list and we didn't keep good track of them

10/20/2023 - 1.72

  • Updated licensing process to new
  • Tweaks to some functions to improve functionality and efficiency
  • Updated death screen with new look

5/9/2023 - v.1.7

  • Fixed the "Near Death" visual effects to only show when nearly dead. That was fixed by fixing the health level when first spawned in to be the actual full health level. The game was lying about what full health was so it wasn't setting the player to full health on first spawn. This was modified and everyone should be full health.

3/30/2023 - v1.6

  • Added /heal command to heal yourself (can be turned off in config).
  • Updated the ragdoll function to finally work like I want it to. No more jerking or trying to get up while ragdolled.

3/1/2023 - v1.52

  • Added config option to turn off the "almost dead" visual effects.

1/22/2023 - v1.5

  • Fixed a bug where certain places on the map when you tried to respawn at hospital put you in the perpetual black screen of death.

12/31/2022 - v1.4

  • Updated licensing and resource startup to newer version which fixes a bug in the startup process.

    9/29/2022 - v1.3
  • Added config option to disallow reviving and only allow respawning (customer request)

9/26/2022 - v1.2

  • Tweaked startup sequence.
