What is it?

Big Daddy TowRope brings vehicle towing and powered winch recovery to your FiveM server. Connect the front or rear bumpers of two vehicles, then lead a slow recovery with a flexible tow rope or reel a stranded vehicle toward a parked anchor vehicle with a steel winch cable.

Dynamic cable visuals follow the selected bumpers, transition between slack and tension, and support contact with locally streamed ground surfaces. A compact control panel and status HUD show the actual bumper distance, cable paid out, and current operation. With synchronized connections, configurable recovery settings, and optional ACE access restrictions, TowRope supports roadside assistance and off-road recovery without requiring a framework or database.

Key Features

  • Two recovery modes: Flexible vehicle towing and powered vehicle-to-vehicle winching.
  • Front and rear attachments: Choose either bumper on both vehicles using orange world markers and a guided selection prompt.
  • Dynamic rope and cable visuals: Fiber rope for towing and steel cable for winching, with slack and tension behavior.
  • Visual ground support: Slack cables can rest on detected terrain, roads, and bridge decks where world collision is streamed.
  • Hold-to-operate winch: Reel in or pay out using Page Up / Page Down or the control panel's hold buttons.
  • Rebindable winch keys: Change the default keyboard bindings in FiveM settings.
  • Separate distance and cable readings: View the measured bumper gap alongside the amount of cable paid out.
  • Tension feedback: Shows when reel-in is under tension; cable take-up follows measured closing progress rather than continually shortening through a stationary vehicle.
  • Configurable recovery tuning: Set cable limits, winch speed, spring strength, damping, acceleration, attachment reach, and server connection limits.
  • Occupied or empty recovery vehicles: A driver can steer and brake the recovered vehicle. Empty recovered vehicles have brakes released by their controller during the connection.
  • Multiplayer synchronization: Server-held connection state supports observers, late joiners, and cable recreation when vehicles return to streaming scope.
  • Optional ACE restrictions: Limit creation and operation to authorized players while other players can still see cables.
  • Connection safeguards: One connection per creator and one per vehicle, setup confirmation, a distance-based safety break, and cleanup when connections become invalid.
